Carrots

The wellknown vegetable - found in most kitchens, that has been used in the past 2.000 years as medicine and only just recently has found its way to kitchen and modern dishes.

Its healthy influence has been long known in past times, and used as powder to treat several diseases, stomach-ache, problems with the intestines and lever, as well as to treat burns.

Today the carrot has become an important ingredient in our cooking, because of its vitamins, it helps the digestion and is good for the skin.
The carrot is an essential ingredient in many traditional italian dishes, like for example the ragu and in cakes.
